Adam grew up in the life during his teens after Dean followed John one year and found out about the last Winchester son. After Dean confronted their father and some insistence from Adam himself, the youngest brother was brought into the hunter fold.

Adam stayed with his mom, Kate until he finished High School, the one thing Dean was adamant about if he wanted to fully join them one day, having lessons on the supernatural and the occult and weapons training on weekends and holidays - it seemed that he was the perfect mix of both Sam and Dean, enjoying the research side of things as well as the physical.

He fully became a Winchester after the death of his mother and the ghoul hunt that followed, grieving harder for her than he did for his father or the first time both his brothers died but he wouldn't allow any of their deaths, no matter how short, to effect him too much if it effected the job in anyway.
